Grandalla

Grandalla

Aniko Herbert aka Haniko

In the mornings I watched the shifting landscape and the morphing clouds from the balcony of my hotel room, and one time the thought occurred to me that even clouds may have their roots somewhere. Even if we have to leave our home, looking at the sky we can feel certain that there is a place for us anywhere in the world, even in the sky. When we look at a landscape it’s as if a gauzy veil covered the different strata of the past, the trace of which is preserved by the earth: the events of history, the life of the families living there, the legends, and my personal stories.

My project name: GRANDALLA I have made preliminary studies of Andorra’s history, natural resources, and flora. I would like to incorporate these into my work “rendering” it all through my personal impressions and thoughts. In my work I use natural, non-toxic, plant-bassed paints, so I would like to ask the organizers to let me use those over there as well. I would like to tell a personal story with my paperworks during the Art Camp in Andorra.
